Halloween door decorating today!  Judging will take place tomorrow.  Please make sure that there are no hanging decorations and that the window is not completely covered.  Decorations must be removed after judging on October 31st.  Prizes will be awarded for the winning classes.

School supply drive is on, run by Jackson, Riley, Spencer, and Luke for IT/Citizenship.  Come by the office to donate your extra binders, duotangs, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, or any other spare school supplies to the school supply drive.  Go to Ellenvale Junior High, at the main office, to donate today.

October is a big month, in this month we learn abour Mi'kmaq History, Islamic History, Hispanic Heritage, and Women's History.  Each day we will learn something new.  I invite any students or staff to come see us with any ideas they may have on how we can celebrate and learn more.

Mi'Kmaw word interest.  Did you know, the English word toboggan comes from the Mi'Kmaw word tepaqn, meaning the object is used to load and haul belongings.  In the winter months, Mi'kmaw people used tepaqn to transport personal belongings, food, and furs with ease in teh deep snow and across the ice.
