Today for AHM we speak about Shauntay Grant. Grant is writer and spoken-word performer from North Preston. Her poetry and music have been featured nationally on CBC-Radio, CBC TV and Vision TV. In 2008 she released her first book called “Up Home” which was about her North Preston roots and childhood memories which was the winner of the Atlantic Canada Book Award for Best Published Book and Best Illustration.
