• Newcomer Youth Drop-In at Woodlawn Library - Every Wednesday this season you can come to the library to make new friends while practicing English and vocabulary.  We’ll have a new activity each week including games, arts, crafts, fun snacks and more. Wednesdays 5:00-6:30 from September 13th to December 6th.
• School Supply Drive is on, run by Jackson, Riley, Spencer and Luke for ILT/Citizenship. Come by the office to donate your extra binders, duotangs, pencils, erasers, sharpeners or any other spare school supplies to the school supply drive.  Go to Ellenvale Junior High, at the main office, to donate today.
• A reminder for all grade 9 students of Take Our Kids to Work Day coming up quickly on Wed. Nov. 1. Please talk to your parents, decide on your job shadow for the day and have them sign the online permission form(s) as soon as possible.
• Bring your loonies and toonies for the female volleyball bake sale at lunch!
• October is a big month, in this month we learn about Mi'kmaq History, Islamic History, Hispanic Heritage and Women’s History. Each day we will learn something new. I invite any students or staff to come see us with any ideas they may have on how we can celebrate and learn more.
