General Announcements

• Yesterday was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a holiday marking the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.   King was the chief spokesperson for nonviolent activism in the Civil Rights Movement, which successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law. The campaign for a federal holiday in King's honor began soon after his assassination in 1968. President Ronald Reagan signed the holiday into law in 1983, and it was first observed three years later. It was officially observed in all 50 states for the first time in 2000.
• Please remember if you are feeling sick or have any cold or flu symptoms please stay home until you are feeling better.
• Remember that masks are still being worn at this time, please remember to bring and wear your mask and wear it properly.
• It is January - please dress for the weather - unless the weather outside is extreme it will be an outdoor lunch
• If you have forgotten your lunch today, or any day, please let your teacher know, so they can let the office know this morning so we can have something for you at lunch.

• Snack time will be held during second period (10 to 10:15)
• Lunch will be eaten during the third period starting at 11:30, dismissal for lunch will begin at 11:45. If you have ordered lunch through the office or healthy hunger it will be delivered to your homeroom
• Students will be dismissed by individual cohorts at the end of the day. Walking students MUST leave school property at dismissal
