Red Dress Day
May 5 is Red Dress Day, a day to remember and honour missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirit people. Red Dress Day serves as a painful reminder of the ongoing crisis for those people and their families and invites solidarity and action. You can mark this day, by wearing something red to express your solidarity with Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ victims, survivors and families. You can also attend Sunday’s memorial being held on Gottingen St.,at the Halifax Police Regional Headquarters.
Please rise if you are able to for O’Canada.
