• Today for AHM we speak about Charmaine Willis, our African Nova Scotian Student Support Worker at both Ellenvale Junior High and Brookhouse Elementary. She’s a great support system for her students and collaborates with school administration teams and staff to foster positive academic and cultural lens engagement. Charmaine’s active in the surrounding communities serving as an appointed advisory member for the Council on African Canadian Education to the Minister of Education with the Department of Education as well as member with the Black Educators Association. She’s currently enrolled at MSVU to obtain her Bachelor of Arts (General Studies) degree. Charmaine's a proud mother of three children.
