General Announcements

  • Today please remember to be kind, respectful and inclusive to each other in our hallways, classrooms and community.
  • Each day we will read information about the residential schools. Today we read LOST MY TALK by Rita Joe.
  • Please remember to wear your orange shirts tomorrow in honour of Truth and Reconciliation Day on Saturday. Schools will be closed on Monday as well to honour this day.
  • Breakfast program provides fruit and snacks for students each morning. We have noticed that the fruit is thrown and tossed on the floors in the hallway, we have also noticed litter throughout the school and ground from the snacks. If the breakfast program is not respected it will go away and we will not offer it any longer. Please do not waste food and do not litter.
  • Reminder to grade 8 and 9 students, access to the modular is off limits. The modular is for grade 6 and 7 students only. Grade 8 and 9 please do not enter the modular building.
  • Bring your loonies tomorrow too for Freezie Friday!
  • If you have forgotten your LUNCH today please let us know in the office by 10am, come by and see Ms. Hernon or Ms. Sushmita or tell your teacher so they can let us know.
  • Healthy Hunger has changed - any orders on Mondays and Fridays have been cancelled and we are hoping to add a new vendor soon. We have added a new vendor to Wednesdays, Pita Pit! Make sure to get your orders in for next Wednesday by Friday at midnight! Still have  DOMINOS Tuesday with pizza, pasta and chicken! Kenny’s Pizza Thursdays! Place your orders a week in advance online! 

Band & Music Announcements

  • CBC Music rehearsal for Grade 7 to 9 on Friday at lunch.

Athletic Announcements

  • Cross Country tryouts will be Friday from 330-430 at Beazley Track. Grade 6, 7 and 8s will be expected to run a full 3km and grade 9s a full 4km. Bring clothes to run in, running shoes, and water. No spectators are permitted so if you are not trying out do not show up at the track. You are responsible for your transportation to and from the track. If you have any questions, please see Mrs Coles or Mme Parsons.
