General Announcements

• Today please remember to be kind, respectful and inclusive to each other in our hallways, classrooms and community. 
• This week is Truth and Reconciliation week. The week honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
• Each day we will read information and stories about the residential schools.
• There are QR codes hanging around the school to find the calls to action. The first three students can come by the office and tell us these three things will win $10 towards their Ellenvale canteen account (for freezies, etc.) Please find out what year did the last residential school close, how many calls to action are there and of those how many have been met.
• Last day for Nourish Your Roots - get your last minute orders in!
• If you have forgotten your LUNCH today please let us know in the office by 10am, come by and see Ms. Hernon or Ms. Sushmita or tell your teacher so they can let us know.
• Healthy Hunger has changed - any orders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays have been cancelled and we are hoping to add a new vendor soon. Still have  DOMINOS Tuesday with pizza, pasta and chicken! Kenny’s Pizza Thursdays! Place your orders a week in advance online! 

Band & Music Announcements

• Grade 7 Band Rehearsal today at lunch in the band room!
• Glam Band starts tomorrow at junior high lunch with. Mr. Mosher
• Grade 6 CBC Music rehearsals at grade 6 lunch tomorrow.
• Junior High CBC Music rehearsals on Friday at JH lunch.

Athletic Announcements

• Games today at Ira Settle Field versus Astral. Females play at 3:45 and male at 5:00. Go Eagles - bring home another win!
• Cross Country tryouts will be Friday from 330-430 at Beazley Track. Grade 6, 7 and 8s will be expected to run a full 3km and grade 9s a full 4km. Bring clothes to run in, running shoes, and water. No spectators are permitted so if you are not trying out do not show up at the track. You are responsible for your transportation to and from the track. If you have any questions, please see Mrs Coles or Mme Parsons.
• Female volleyball Grade 8 & 9 tryouts tomorrow morning at 7:30AM.
• Female volleyball Grade 6 & 7 tryouts tomorrow after school until 4PM, make sure you have a way home.
