From Mr. Lewis:
Parent-teacher meetings will be held on Thursday, Nov 28, from 1 to 3 pm and from 6 to 8pm. Instructions for parents on how to book your parent-teacher appointments on-line will be sent home in an Alert Solutions message and the link will be on our school website -  elj.hrsb.ca. The online booking system, OPTIS, will be open to parents on Tuesday, November 19, 9am until Tuesday, Nov 26, midnight. After Nov. 26, you may contact Mrs. Cottingham in the school office at 435-8420 to book an interview appointment. Report Cards will be coming home to you on Wednesday, November 27.

Also, apologies to the students who have signed up for improv sessions. The organizer has had to reschedule last Friday’s and today’s session. We will let you know of the new dates as soon as possible.

Basic Baby Sitter Course:
For any student in Grade 7 to 9, Safe Choice Safety Services is offering this course at Ellenvale on Thursday, November 28, from 9am to 4pm. Details have been sent home via email to all families or information/registration forms can be picked up at the school office. The cost for the course is $50 and the registration link is www.safechoice.ca/event

From Mr. Carruthers:
Unity Charity will be back Tuesday, November 19. There will be a presentation to the whole school and then workshops in the morning and afternoon. See the link on the school website to sign up by Monday morning.

Wednesday  lunch - Jazz Band Rehearsal and extra help sessions
Wednesday after school - Christmas Band Rehearsal
Thursday - If time allows there may be rehearsal in the gym for the afternoon concert.
Thursday - Fall Concert 1:00-3:00 pm in the Ellenvale Gymnasium
Thursday after school - Celtic Band Rehearsal - cancelled
Friday - Assessment and Evaluation Day - No classes

Girls volleyball team members are reminded to bring in their $20 team fee and their $8 tournament fee to the office please.
Also, Boys Soccer team members must return their jerseys ASAP.

The boys’ volleyball team members are reminded to pay their $15 tournament fee please! The boys have a game TODAY after school at BI HI. Team members are asked to leave school promptly at 2:50 to make their way to BI HI as the game starts at 3:30pm.

Please note that next Friday, November 22 is an Assessment and Evaluation Day for teachers. There are no classes for students that day.
