Mi'kmaq/Indigenous Student Support Worker Program
Kwe’/Hello,
I am Natasha Lewis Mi’kmaq/Indigenous Student Support with HRCE for Ellenvale Junior High School. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to you (or checking in if we already have spoke) as I will be sending home consent for support forms. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
My office hours are Monday and Tuesday from 8:30am - 3:00pm weekly, phone number is 902-435-8420 ext 3401111. My email is Natasha.Lewis@hrce.ca.
Over the next few months, it is my goal to meet with each student (with your permission of course) to discuss grades, goals, and any issues that they may have and to offer whatever support is necessary to help them succeed in their educational goals. I will also be encouraging and assisting in cultural events and teachings. I encourage you to reach out to me if there are any special circumstances or just to check in, my focus is to assist you the families as well as the students. I have attached a digital copy of the consent form if anyone would prefer.
