Today is Red Shirt Day, an annual Canadian event where people wear red to show support for individuals and families living with disabilities. Initiated by Easter Seals Canada, it celebrates the achievements of persons with disabilities and calls for a fully accessible and inclusive society.
905 is proud to announce that we diverted 435 markers and 258 batteries from the landfill. Way to go Ellenvale! Mme. Boudreau will continue to accept markers and batteries as long as she works here, so send them up to room 215 whenever you want. If you want to make the switch yourself, Staples accepts batteries and markers, and Bluenose Recycling also accepts batteries and other household electronics. Let's work together to protect our natural world.
