We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional unceded ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people. 

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years. 

General Announcements

  • Remember that your coats, vests, backpacks, smart watches and cell phones should be put in your lockers each morning. These items are not allowed in classrooms.

  • Today is Juneteenth National Independence Day, a federal holiday in the United States. It is celebrated annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.

  • Today we are having an Indigenous Dance and Drum assembly this afternoon. We will call you down when ready. It is to celebrate National Indigenous History month.

  • Chess club at the 12:05 bell today in room 309 in the modular, make your way by 12:10.

  • Next Tuesday from 12:05 until 12:15, there will be a French Immersion Q & A in Mme. Rodger’s room, in the modular for grade six students who are registered for French Immersion. Please come with your questions ready to go.
