In Canada, June is designated as Pride Month, a time to celebrate and recognize the history and achievements of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. This month is a period of celebration and advocacy, commemorating the Stonewall Riots in 1969, which marked a turning point in the fight for 2SLGBTQIA+ rights.
