Hello Grade 9 Families,
This is a community launch to introduce the IB Career-Related Programme (IBCP) to all prospective students and their families in our region. This is a brand-new academic offering as Cole Harbour District High (CHDH) will be the 7th public school in Canada to offer a fully authorized IBCP Programme.
The event will take place on Thursday, December 11th, between 7:00 and 9:00 PM at Cole Harbour District High School. They are excited to offer this information session as an opportunity to engage with the community, introduce the IBCP Programme, and explore our two career-related pathways. The two pathways they will be presenting are:
- Pathway #1: Business & Project Management
- Pathway #2: Marine Systems & Sustainability
They are also pleased to announce that our guest speakers for the event will be:
- Dr. Vurain Tabvuma, Dean of Programs and Full Professor of Management at the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University.
- Dr. Sherry Scully, Principal Consultant at SES Consulting Workforce and Research.
They will share valuable insights into these rapidly emerging, well-paying local career opportunities and the benefits of career-focused education.
