October is also Latin American Heritage Month. The month, proclaimed in 2018 by the Parliament of Canada, recognizes the diverse cultures, contributions, and accomplishments of Canadians of Latin American and Hispanic origin in Canada. Activities and events throughout October highlight the community's rich heritage, including their music, art, cuisine, and entrepreneurial spirit.
