We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional unceded ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people. 

We also acknowledge that people of African ancestry have been in Nova Scotia for over 400 years.

General Announcements

  • Remember that your coats, vests, backpacks, and cell phones should be put in your lockers each morning. These items are not allowed in classrooms.

  • Grade 9 LA Exams this morning!

  • Displaced Classes: Block 1 - 807 go to 208, Block 2 & 3 802 go to 108, Block 3 806 go to 208.

  • Grade 9 classes: 906 to 214, 905 to 215, 902 to 216, 904 to 217, 901 to 218, 903 to 201. Head to these classes to prepare for your exam.

  • Juneteenth in Canada will be observed today. While not a national holiday in Canada, it is a day of commemoration and reflection on the end of slavery in the United States, a significant event in the history of the Black community. In Canada, Emancipation Day, which commemorates the abolition of slavery in the British Empire, is recognized on August 1st.
