Today for AHM we highlight Bill Riley, he became the first African Nova Scotian to play in the NHL. He made his debut with the Washington Capitals in 1974. Upon finishing his NHL career he went on to be a professional coach in the AHL. In 1998, Riley was inducted into the NS Sports Hall of Fame. Check out more information at The Black Cultural Centre.
