• Founded by three former Auburn students - Roots of Creation is an emerging collective of Black Nova Scotian theatre artists, educators and community members providing accessible theatre creation and performance programs to youth. They are planning our inaugural workshop called Planting Seeds; which will be a one day workshop geared towards Black Nova Scotian youth ages 13-18, December 30th 2022, 9am-5pm at Neptune Theatre. It will be a day of learning about music creation, dance, acting and more; teaching on these specific disciplines, then how to mix them together to create work based off of and for our communities. This is a free opportunity with food and refreshments covered, as well as transportation as needed funded by National Theatre School’s Theatre engaging communities grant in partnership with Neptune theatre School!
