• If you are a Black youth looking to tell your stories to the world then J-School Noire is for you. It is a two day virtual workshop that lets you dive into the world of media. If you are interested please see Mrs. Willis and the Ellenvale website for additional information.
• The Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute is excited to share that the African Nova Scotian History Challenges are back for 2021-2022. This year, we’re introducing some brand new challenges and an electronic component for added accessibility. Check out this year’s brochure (French and English attached) for all the details on the six Challenges. And be sure to read our rules and regulations before submitting your entries. There is also a simple judging rubric to help you and your students better understand what our judges are looking for when going through the entries for each challenge. All posted on the Ellenvale Website in What’s New. This year’s Challenges will open December 1, 2021 and close February 18, 2022. Reach out to Charmaine Willis or any of your teachers if you would like to participate!
• Grade 9 students planning to attend the movie field trip need to return their forms to Ms. Crocker ASAP. You must show proof of vaccination at the time.
