General Announcements

• A reminder to get your votes in for this week’s Friday Fun Song.  A ballot box is located outside the main office. 
• If you have forgot your lunch today, or any day, please visit us in the office and we will have something for you!
• Our grade 9 students participated in The Beaver Computing Challenge a few weeks ago. Students used their problem solving and computer science skills to complete the challenge. Congratulations to Charity Macmichael for coming in first place, and to Brandon Winton and Onin Casey-Tanner, who came in second and third place respectively.
• If you are a Black youth looking to tell your stories to the world then J-School Noire is for you. It is a two day virtual workshop that lets you dive into the world of media. If you are interested please see Mrs. Willis and the Ellenvale website for additional information.
• Attention Grade 9 Students - I have yearbooks from 2019-2020 - your grade 7 year - if you would like one please stop by the office to see me!
• Next week is Ellenvale Spirit Week! On Monday we are having a crazy hair day - do your best - make your hair crazy and wild - as high as it can go! There will be soar tickets handed out to anyone who made an effort to get as crazy as possible! Or just don’t brush it when you roll out of bed on Monday morning…
• Tuesday will be Dress like a teacher day! Wednesday will be Twin Day! Thursday will be Silly Hat Day and Friday will be PJ Day!

Learning Centre Announcements

• Popcorn being sold today.  We will be taking pre-orders this time to ensure mostly everyone who wants popcorn will get it.  Stop by the learning centre Room 116 with teacher permission this morning with a loonie and we will take your order.  This is a new process so please be patient.
