Posted on the HRCE website is this message: More information about a return to school date will be released today.

Students are not to go into google classrooms that are not their own. Please be respectful of other people’s learning space.

If you received a chrome book, you will have also received an agreement for it’s use by you at home. Please return that agreement once it has been signed. You can scan to email (jcottingham@hrce.ca) or fax to 435 8469 or arrange to drop it off at the school by calling 435 8420.

Attendance:
Please continue to call the office safe arrival line or send an email to jcottingham@hrce.ca to report your child absent or late to any class(es). Thanks!

Office Hours:
If you are coming to the school to pick up chrome books, instruments or student’s personal items, please come to the school between 9am and noon. Please call 435-8420 before coming to the school to make sure someone is available to meet you.

Don’t forget to buy your tickets for our Rafflebox 50/50 Fundraiser!! We are over the $3000 mark! and here are the standings: Mme. Leslie holding first place at $480, Ms. Moore’s class has come out of the pack to capture 2nd place with $420, and Ms. McCarron’s class holding at $350. Ms. Shortt is creeping up on Ms. McCarron with $290! There is now only 1 homeroom (not to mention names but  ---- Sparks 801) holding at $20. Pizza party is up for grabs for the 1st place homeroom (maybe we will have the party outside)! And, we will have prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place classes also. Spread the word, share our rafflebox website to invite friends, neighbours, relatives and old Ellenvale students to participate!

This fundraiser is to support our outdoor classrooms, our Grade 9 promotion plans, and, hopefully, to purchase more Chrome Books toward our goal of one for every student. Tickets are for sale until May 17, 2021, midnight. The draw will take place on May 18, 2021, at the school. The winner will be contacted by email and/or phone.

Yearbooks:
Orders are complete! Many thanks to Gayle MacLean for all the blood, sweat and tears she put in creating our 2020-21 yearbook and to everyone who contributed pictures! There may be a few copies not spoken for once we receive the yearbook mid-June. Please watch for a “first come, first served” announcement at that time.

Bussing for 2021-22:
If you think your child may qualify for bussing next year (this particularly applies to grade 9 students going into Grade 10), please ensure your primary address is up–to-date in PowerSchool as the bus companies draw their information from PowerSchool. Please call the office at 435 8420 if you need to update or verify your address.
