Week Two

Eagle Expectation:
We have received many reports from our community of students not being safe while crossing roads, littering pizza boxes, and throwing objects on private property. Please act appropriately off property.

Options to Anger: Members of this group are asked to go to the Learning Commons from period 2 to period 4 today.

Food Drive!
On April 7, 8 and 9, students of 904 will be hosting a food drive. A box will be placed by the office, feel free to come and add canned food in the first 10 mins after announcements, and get a SOAR ticket. Posters will be up around the school with more details.

Parent-teacher meetings will be held on Thursday, April 8, from 1 to 3 pm and from 6 to 8pm, in 5-minute blocks (1 minute between interviews).
The on-line booking system (OPTIS) link is www.parentinterviews.com/ellenvale . It is also on our school website - elj.hrsb.ca (select Our School and then For Parents). OPTIS will be open to parents today until Wednesday, April 7, midnight.  Report Cards will be coming home to you by Tuesday, April 6.
Some of our teachers’ interview times fill up quickly. Please select the waiting list option. You will be contacted by the teacher.

Registration Info: On-line applications for Out of Area requests will be open starting at 8am on Thursday, April 1, and continuing through Friday, April 16, at www.hrce.ca. Robotics Club will NOT be meeting this Thursday.

2020-21 Ellenvale Yearbook:
Many thanks to our parent volunteer, Gayle MacLean, who is working hard to ensure Ellenvale has a yearbook this year. She is in dire need of photos. Any staff members (or possibly students) who may have photos of classroom, gym or outdoor time this year, please forward pictures to Mrs. Cottingham at jcottingham@hrce.ca. Also, works of art, pictures of projects, and poetry (class work please) can be submitted for consideration as well.

Friday this week is a holiday as is Monday, April 5, 2021. The school is closed both days.
