Announcements Thursday, October 22, 2020

We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people.

From Mr. Lewis:
October is Mi’kmaq History Month. The purpose is to promote public awareness about the Mi’kmaq culture and heritage to the people of Nova Scotia. Take a look around the school to see the Mi'kmaq History Month poster.

And, Robotics Team members will have two meetings today in the Learning Commons – one at lunch and one after school.

1. SOAR tickets - Students who are working hard to achieve their personal best in respecting and caring for Self, Others, Academics, and Responsible behaviour, may receive a SOAR ticket from any staff member.  Make sure your name is on the ticket with your homeroom number and drop it in the blue SOAR container at the main office.  At the end of the week, we will count homeroom points AND we will have a draw for individual student prizes including movie passes and more.

From Mme Boudreau:
Don't forget to tell your friends and family about our 50/50 fundraiser. If they go to the drop-down menu, they can also help your homeroom win a pizza party! The jackpot is already over $2700. Only 6 days left to buy!
