Announcements Tuesday, October 13, 2020

We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people.

From Mr. Lewis:
October is Mi’kmaq History Month. The purpose is to promote public awareness about the Mi’kmaq culture and heritage to the people of Nova Scotia. Take a look around the school to see the Mi'kmaq History Month poster.

This is a reminder as our weather starts to turn colder that it is a good idea to bundle up and stay warm. Sweaters, heavy jackets and long pants are perfectly acceptable at this time of year. Soon, we will have sub zero temperatures and that means toques, mittens or gloves and boots on many days. It is good to start thinking about this now and to prepare for times when we will need to continue to be outside especially at lunch hour.

From Ms. McKay:
Get into the spirit and celebrate a successful return to school with a Spirit themed week! - there will be individual and homeroom prizes given out for participation!!!
TODAY - PJ day
tomorrow - Crazy Covid Mask day
Thursday - Jersey/Sport Team day
Friday – Twin Day

Ellenvale will be providing an Options to Anger session for interested students.  If you feel like you would like to learn strategies to deal with frustration and how to better handle your anger please see Ms. McKay for more information.
