Announcements Monday, October 5, 2020

We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people.

From Mr. Lewis:
All students have received an email to their GNSPES account with their new digital ID. Plastic school picture ID cards will not be issued this year.  If you check you school email, you should see the message from the school photographer.  If anyone has difficulty opening their new school ID, please contact Nova Scotia School Pictures (Calnen Photography) at 423 8840.

MADD presentations in class today via video link.

October is Mi’kmaq History Month. The purpose is to promote public awareness about the Mi’kmaq culture and heritage to the people of Nova Scotia. Take a look around the school to see the Mi'kmaq History Month poster.

Grade 7 Immunization clinic is Tuesday, October 20. The Public Health nurse is coming tomorrow to pick up all the forms that were sent home to grade 7 students two weeks ago. If you have not yet returned your completed form, please send it in ASAP! If you need a new form, please contact the school office.

Parents and Guardians:
Please regularly check your child for nits or head lice. Children with nits or head lice must receive the first of two treatments before returning to school. Please notify the school if your child has head lice or nits. A copy of the NS Department of Health and Wellness pamphlet, How to Prevent, Find and Treat Head Lice can be found at:
