Sept 29, 2020 Announcements

Announcements Tuesday, September 29, 2020

We acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, which is the traditional ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq people.

From Mr. Lewis:
Orange shirt day is TOMORROW. Please wear an orange shirt in the spirit of healing and reconciliation. Orange Shirt Day is held annually across Canada on September 30 to honour the experiences of former students and survivors and to promote awareness about the residential school system and the harm it has had and continues to have on Indigenous communities.

We are so proud of our Eagles for their positive behaviour and community mindedness on our buses.  I want to share a thank you message from one of our bus drivers:
I've been driving this route for 3 weeks now and almost without fail I am greeted by each student with a hearty 'Good Morning'.
And when they alight at the school, almost all of them say 'Thank you'
and/or 'Have a great day'.
Also worthy of note: I do not have to tell your students to keep their masks on whilst on the bus.
I just wanted to commend your students: they are a credit to your school community.
Since the beginning of the school year, our staff have noticed how hard you have been working to keep each other safe every day with all of our protocols.  Thank you for caring for one another

Pop Up Library is tomorrow at lunch time.
