October is Mi’kmaq History Month. The purpose is to promote public awareness about the Mi’kmaq culture and heritage to the people of Nova Scotia. Take a look around the school to see the Mi'kmaq History Month poster.

AND our first school dance will be on Thursday, October 17, 6:30 to 9pm. Tickets are on sale in the gym -- $5 in advance; $6 at the door.

Peoples of African descent are a vibrant part of Nova Scotia’s past, these individuals made Nova Scotia home and contributed to the fabric and success of today’s province. Nova Scotia can be said to be the birth place of Black Culture and heritage in Canada, boasting the largest indigenous Black community in Canada.

TODAY there is a Weact meeting at 12:10 in room 215 for all those going to WEDay, which is tomorrow.

A list has been posted outside the gym indicating those who have been invited to the 3rd boys' volleyball tryout. If your name is on this list, you are asked to come on Thursday from 3-4:30 for the final tryout. Please let Mme Tingley know if you can't make it. Thanks to all who tried out!
