Band
A big thank you to the students and parents of our Diwali Festival Band. Excellent performance on Saturday night at Dalhousie University.

Tuesday - Lunch - Grade 9 Band Rehearsal
Wednesday - Lunch - Jazz Band Rehearsal and Extra Help Sessions
Thursday - Lunch - Grade 8 Band Rehearsal and after school - Christmas Band
Friday - Lunch - Grade 7 band rehearsal

Upcoming performance: Thursday, Nov. 10 - Remembrance Day Observance - Grade 9 Band Only

Scale assessments and theory books should be completed by this Friday, Nov. 4 - I will be available after school everyday except Thursday to hear scales.

Christmas Wreath sales will continue until Friday, Nov. 18.
 

WeActors- We Scare Hunger
Did you know that approximately 19 722 people use a food bank each month in Nova Scotia? WeActors are hosting this years’ We Scare Hunger Food drive. Between now and Wednesday, November 2nd help support Feed Nova Scotia by bringing non-perishable Food Donations into the box in your homeroom class. You are also encouraged to ask for a food donation with your trick-or-treat tonight in support of We Scare Hunger, and to bring these donations in to school tomorrow! The homeroom who collects the high number of non-perishable food donations by the end of the drive will win the charity penguin for the term!

Destination Imagination
Do you like teamwork, problem-solving, being creative? Then Destination Imagination may be for you. Destination Imagination is an engaging extra-curricular program that teaches students essential 21st Century skills such as creativity, teamwork, problem solving and Innovation. The Destination Imagination program consists of two types of challenges: Team Challenges and Instant Challenges. If you are interested in finding out more about Destination Imagination, there will be a meeting at 11:50 in room 114 (Mrs. Patterson's) room tomorrow!

 

Anime Group
There will be an anime group meeting on Thursday from 12:10-12:50 in Mrs. Doolan's room 204. All are welcome.

Take Your Kid to Work
A reminder to grade 9 students to begin making their plan for Take Our Kid to Work Day, Wed. Nov. 2 now that forms have been given out to students. Students are encouraged to return their signed paperwork to their Healthy Living teacher ASAP to ensure they have their plan for the day.

 

Soccer
Members of the girls and boys soccer team, and cross country members are reminded to bring in their jerseys as soon as possible to their coach. Students who are on another team and who have not returned previous jerseys will not be given a new jersey for their current team.

Football
Girls flag football practice today, 3-4. Let Mrs. Doolan know if you are not able to make it.

Boys Volleyball
There will be a Boys Volleyball practice after school today from 3-4 pm.

Hockey
Hockey dress list is posted on school website. Any players who cannot attend please let Mr.C. Know. All fees and athletic agreements need to be passed in this week.
