Wednesday Lunch - Jazz Band - Still open to new members until October 20. Open to all grades and instruments.
Wednesday after school - 3:00-4:00 pm - Diwali Festival Band - Open to all Grade and members
Thursday Lunch - Grade 8 Band Rehearsal
Thursday after school - 3:00 - 4:00 pm - Christmas Band. Still accepting new members until October 20. Open to all grades and instruments.
Friday Lunch - Grade 7 Band Rehearsal

Fundraising
Our Cookie Dough fundraiser has ended. Please send in forms and money (if you can send one cheque for the full amount that really helps us with the ordering process) by this Thursday - October 6, in the morning. We will be preparing the school order by 9:30 am. We will not be able to accommodate late orders.
The Cookie Dough will arrive to our school on Thursday, October 20 and will be available for pickup in the Band Room at 7:00 pm.
Our next fundraiser will be Christmas Wreaths - Starting October 15.

For Students
Scale assessments will begin the week of October 10.
Band shirts for Grade 7 Students will be ordered this week - cost will be $25.00
New Class method books for Grade 7 Students will be ordered this week - notice will be sent home soon.
I will be available for extra help sessions on Monday and Wednesday at lunch.
Saxophone students looking to form a seperate ensemble please see me at lunch on Wednesday.

Girls Volleyball
The grade 7 girls’ volleyball tryout on Thursday at lunch. Grade 8s’ today, and 9s’ on Wednesday.

Boys Volleyball
Boys volleyball practice will be after school tomorrow in the gym from 3-4:15.

Yoga Club
Yoga club will start next week, on Thursday, at 12:15 in the MPR room.

Boys Flag Football
The first boys’ flag football tryout will be held today, Oct 3rd at 3:00 on the back soccer field, weather permitting. If you have any questions, please speak to Mr. Leveck.
Spirit Day this Friday – Wear Green and White and show your school spirit!!!

Terry Fox Walk
As a school we managed to walk a distance of 954.1km this past Monday.
The energetic Grade 7’s led the way with 1428 laps, averaging 13.3 laps per student.
The Grade 9’s walked a grand total of 1330 laps, averaging 12.2 laps per student.
The Grade 8’s managed 1415 laps, averaging 11.6 laps per student.
So far in 3 years we’ve collectively walked from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Hamilton, Ontario. Great job Eagles!!!
