Grade 8 Band Rehearsal- Lunch, Thursday in the Band Room - all Grade 8 Band students
Christmas Band - After school, Thursday in the Band Room - 3:00-4:00.Open to all grades
Grade 7 Band Rehearsal - Lunch, Friday in the Band - all Grade 7 Band students.

Curriculum Night
All parents welcome! Tomorrow 6 to 8pm. There will also be a parent band meeting at 5:30pm in the Band Room.

Student volunteers who can assist with various duties tomorrow for the curriculum evening, please submit your names to Mrs. Cottingham at the main office.
Our school’s bus evacuation practice is also tomorrow. Classes will be called down when it is their turn to participate.

Girls Touch Football
There will be a girls’ football tryout this today at 3pm on the back field. All girls interested please attend.

Friday Fun Song
Students are reminded to vote for the Friday Fun Song! There are voting cards just outside Ms. Sinclair's room - Room 113. Be sure to get your vote in by Friday to hear your song!:)

Book Club
Ellenvale's Book Club will be starting next Tuesday, September 27, at 11:45 in Ms. Lingley's Room - Room 217! Please bring your lunch! It’s going to be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yearbook
Are you interested in photography? Do you like designing, drawing, or working on the computer? If so, the yearbook club is for you. The yearbook club will have its first meeting Monday at 12:10 in Mr. Klasz's room #115. If you are interested in joining this club, but cannot make this first meeting, please see Mr. Klasz or Ms. Sparks before Monday to let us know.

LIbrary
The Library is now open at 8:10 before the morning bell Wed-Fri. Please remember that you are asked to remain IN the library until the bell rings, thanks.

BEA (Black Educators Association) Parent/Student Information Session:
Ellenvale School is hosting this event on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 6 to 9pm. This session is for parents and students (Jr. High and High School) who would like to know more about the education system in Nova Scotia.

Soccer
Congratulations to the girls’ soccer team on their win over Caledonia 1-0. Players of the game go to Olivia Edokpayi for her solid defence and Aja Deeble for her confidence in taking and scoring the penalty shot. Shut out goes to Alison Umlah and Lia Boucher. Next game is Thursday at 3:45 – Brownlow Field.

Congratulations to the Boys soccer team on their 2-1 victory over Caledonia. Goals scorers were Cody Roach and Jaxon Cooper. Next game is Thursday at 5:00 – Brownlow Field.

Terry Fox Walk
We are going to do our Terry Fox walk this Friday during the last 2 periods of the day --- looking for donations from students for the Terry Fox Foundation of a loonie or a toonie please!
