Today at Lunch - Celtic Band Rehearsal; Tuesday After School 3:00-4:00 - Celtic Band Rehearsal

September 14     Wednesday Lunch - Celtic Band Rehearsal; Wednesday 7:00 pm - Celtic Band Performance at the Port Wallis United Church. Band students should arrive with instruments and music no later than 6:30 pm. Please wear Band shirt/black pants/black shoes

This is a first for any school band in the HRM to perform at the Halifax Celtic Festival.  The concert is free to the public - a silver donation is certainly welcome.  All Ellenvale students and parents are welcome to come and support our Celtic Band members. The Celtic Band is sounding great. Thank you so much to the students who have stuck it through and given their free time to make this a special event - This could be the first of an anuual tradition.

September 15 Thursday Band Room- lunch  - Grade 8 Band - all grade 8 band students; Thursday - after school - Christmas Band - open to all grades

September 16 - Friday -Band Room - lunch - Grade 7 Band - all grade 7 Band students.

Fundraising
Our cookie dough fundraiser will run from September 12 - 30. You should have received the forms. If you need some please contact me. Order forms with payments are due back by Thursday, October 6. Cookie dough should arrive on October 20 between 5 and 7pm.

 Library:
If you have a library book at home from a previous year or even a former school, please feel free to give it to Mrs. Hamilton or put it in the drop box just outside of the library! The Library will be open for students starting tomorrow at 8:10 in the morning and 12:10 at noon. Please be advised that if you come to the library at either of these times, you are asked to remain there until the bell, thanks

 

Curriculum Night
All parents welcome! September 22 – Thursday 6 to 8pm. There will be a parent band meeting at 5:30pm in the Band Room that evening.

Student volunteers who can assist with various duties on Thursday Sept 22 for the curriculum evening, please submit your names to Mrs. Cottingham at the main office.

Girls Soccer
Girls Soccer sign up is on the bulletin board outside the gym across from the office. First try-out is today at 3 to 3:45pm on the field.
 

Forms forms forms!
All forms and student fees are due by Thursday, September 15, please.

Grade 7 Immunizations:
Immunization forms from the Public Health Dept. will be distributed to grade 7 students by their home room teachers this week. Once the form has been completed by your guardian or parent, please return it to your home room teacher ASAP. Homeroom teachers are asked to hold onto the forms until the Public Health Immunization Clinic on October 19 here at the school.
