Band:
Thank you very much to the band parents who volunteered as chaperones and the staff of Ellenvale Junior High who covered my classes while we were on our Kiwanis Music Festival Trips.
Our Grade 9, 8, and 7 band all competed in different categories with very tough adjudication - so tough that I was told by festival organizers that no school bands in the festival hand been awarded Gold.
I am proud to announce that our Grade 9 Band placed with a Bronze in the B300 Category
Our Grade 8 Band received Silver in the B200 category
Our Grade 7 Band received Silver in the B100 Category

Grade 9 Year End
There will be a parent info meeting for the Grade 9 valley trip on Wednesday, May 11 at 5:00 pm in room 215.

Fort MacMurray Support
Do you want to help people in Fort McMurray? We will have a bog collection this week. For a donation of 1$ or more you can wear a hat on Tuesday, wear a retro outfit on Wednesday and wear your PJs on Thursday. Volunteers will collect money in the morning. There will be a bake sale on Thursday. Anyone wishing to donate items is asked to see Mme Boudreau Monday or Tuesday. If we can gather $1000 in 1 week, there will be a special music and dance number by the bravest teachers and administrators in June. Please give generously.

Girls Lacrosse
The girls' lacrosse members need to return their jersey to Mrs. Doolan asap.

Track and Field
The running team for track and field is posted on the gym doors. All runners must attend a very important meeting today after school in Mrs. Doolan's room (204). The throwing and jumping tryouts will be held Tuesday from 3:30-4:30. This will be the only tryout, so if you are interested make sure you are in attendance.
Final practice will be on Friday from 3:00-4:30 at Beazley. The meet is on May 16  & 17.

Girls Softball
Girls' Softball Tryouts this week.

Boys Softball
Tryouts for the Boys Softball team will take place Tuesday, May 10, after school at 3:00 on the back field. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Leveck.
This Friday, May 13, is a PD Day. There are no classes for students

Pizza order forms covering the period May 20 to June 24 are due back by May 11, Wednesday.
