Nutrition Month

THANK-YOU to everyone who submitted an entry in the Nutrition Month Poster Contest. Through careful examination and shuffling through plenty of excellent entries, Judge Extraordinaire, Mr. Carruthers, chose three winners - one from each grade level.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Please go to the Ellenvale Website, parents, to book your parent-teacher interview for either April 14, 1 to 3:30pm or April 21, 6:30 to 8pm.

High School Course Sheets

Reminder to grade 9 students to return their signed course verification sheets by Tuesday, April 12 or ASAP.

They can be handed in to 9 homeroom teachers or Mr. Gabriel

Club and Team Photos

Club and Team Photos will be taken in the multipurpose room on the 2nd floor on April 12, Tuesday, from 10 to 11am. Be prepared to come to have your group photo taken when you are called over the PA. Thanks!

GRade 9 Year End Activities

Any Grade 9s wishing to be put on the wait list for the cruise or wishing to buy guest tickets can now get a permission form from Mme Boudreau after announcements, at the beginning of lunch, or at the end of the day. These forms must be in by April 29.

Any Grade 9s wishing to go on the end of year trip are reminded that their forms and $75 deposit are due by April 22. This trip depends upon student and chaperone commitment.

Yearbook

There will be an important yearbook meeting Tuesday, from 3pm to 7pm, in the computer lab.

The final yearbook sales drive of the year is now underway! This year's yearbook is a 36 page hard cover book. The cost of the yearbook is $25 or $30 to have your yearbook personalized with your name on the front cover. Please return your completed form and money to your homeroom teacher by May 6. Additional order forms are available from Ms. Cottingham in the office. 

Spirit Club

There will be a Spirit Club meeting on Monday, April 11, at lunch to prep for our next Spirit Day.

Lacrosse

The boys lacrosse team are reminded that they have a game on Monday and Wednesday and a full-team practice on Tuesday.  Coach Bob will forward a roster for each game so keep your eye on the board across from the office. Yesterday, the boys and girls lacrosse teams played well against Astral Drive.  The boys had some nice goals against Astral but lost 20-14 overall.

The girls had a tough loss of 15-14. Jordan Awalt had some great saves and the girls played well. They are reminded of their practice on Wednesday at 3:00. All need to be in attendance. Please make sure to get your $25 fees in to Mrs. Doolan asap. 

Youth Running Series

Do you want to be on an Ellenvale sports team with a difference? The Youth Running Series is a participation-based competition where your participation gets points for the school. Junior high students run 2.3 kilometres and your time gets tracked so you can try to beat it next race. If Ellenvale gets 50 points, we get a prize! Come to room 215 today at 11:50 to find out how to be part of a team.
