Wednesday - Jazz Band Lunch - Grade 7 members only

Wednesday - Grade 8/9 Band will be performing at George Bissett and Colonel John Stuart Elementary Schools.

Thursday - Grade 7 will be performing at Shannon Park and South Woodside Elementary Schools. For both these trips, remaining permission forms need to be handed in as soon as possible. Band students are reminded to wear Band shirts, black pants, black shoes - running shoes, sandals, multi-coloured socks are not appropriate attire for our performances.​

Friday - Grade 7 Band rehearsal - lunch.

Mr. Fraser has completed almost all of the scale assessments for second term. Students wishing to re-do their scales for a higher mark or just get them finished can see me anyday after school this week.

Also, Mr. Fraser has marked all theory books that have been handed in. He will be handing them back this week to give band students an opportunity to make corrections and resubmit for higher marks. Those students who have not handed in a completed theory book yet should do so asap to allow enough time to make correction. 

The final payment date for the Grade 8/9 Band Trip has been postponed until March 7. Student account statements will be going home by email this week.

African Heritage Month

On July 5, 1916, the assembly of the No.2 Construction Battalion was approved. Why was this battalion different from the rest of the military's battalions?

Book Club

Book club is cancelled until Thursday March 3rd.

Girls Field Hockey

There is a sign-up sheet outside of the gym for any girls interested in playing field hockey. Stay tuned for practice times.

Grade 9 classes are reminded to bring in their signed permission forms for the trip to the oval. Even if you brought in a form for the first trip, you need a form for this trip.

Pita Pit order forms are due back to the school no later than Thursday, March 3.

There will be a yearbook meeting this Friday in the computer lab.

There is a tryout for any girls interested playing lacrosse this Wednesday 3-4pm.

Girls Basketball

Girls' basketball practice today after school, 3- 4:30. Make sure to be ready in your practice gear for a 3:00 start. The girls have a tournament at St. Agnes this Thursday and Friday.
